Based in Ringwood, Wantirna and Lilydale, Anchor Inc. is a fully self-governing community based organisation that comes with an extremely proud history of many years of serving the population of Melbourne’s Outer East. Their support goes to some of the people who are most vulnerable in the Outer East community by offering and providing quality services such as counselling, foster care, kinship care, homeless support, family reconciliation, and community education.
The organization is totally dedicated to the continuous growth of services as it responds to the ever changing community needs in the Outer East areas of the City of Melbourne. Although based in Lilydale, Ringwood and Wantirna, the community based organization extends its outreach services to Healesville and Yarra Junction as they strive to become part of the local community they are serving in.
The Anchor Inc Mission
As a non-profit organization, Anchor exists for the mission of creating a community in which each individual is empowered and informed towards realizing their maximum and full potential. The organization is partnering with local communities towards supporting families and individuals who are vulnerable by reaching out to them, equipping and restoring them so that they can once again assume control of their lives.
The mission of Anchor is achieved through suitably responding to families and individuals that are turned or might have become susceptible to vulnerability or displaced through trauma, family crisis or other circumstances which are beyond their own control, through assistance towards restoring healing relationships and by empowering them for the future.

Supporting Anchor Inc
Anchor has over the years always been supported generously by people who desire to assist in the work, whether this is by donations, the volunteer base, local church congregations, as well as the larger Melbourne’s Outer East community where they are working.
There are quite a number of mechanisms though which you could give your help such as offering your resources, skills, time, money or gifts, etc. All contributions, irrespective how large or small are always welcome. Others include donating, corporate giving and becoming an Everyday Hero.
Volunteering at Anchor Inc
Anchor has got a team of very dedicated volunteers who are giving their expertise, skills and time. Without this vital commitment, Anchor Inc would perhaps not be in a position of providing the level of service it is able to give to community. And they are always liking and welcoming more volunteers.
