Who we are
Brainwave Australia is a charity organisation that was formed not less than twenty (20) years ago to provide support and assistance to children who have been diagnosed as having a brain tumour. The founder, Josephine Nicole, was the mother of a six (6) year old boy by name Nicholas who was diagnosed as having a neurological condition and when it became evident that the necessary support services were never going to be adequate, she formed the Brainwave Australia. This is a foundation that therefore tasks itself to see to it that support services are rendered to children with such neurological disorders and their families.

Brainwave Australia has a vision which is to see to it that supportive services are provided to children with neurological disorders and those who take care of them with the aim of helping to eliminate the negative effects that such conditions have on children and family members.

What are the services that are provided by the Brainwave Australia?
The Brainwave Australia provides a number of services that are very essential to those children suffering from brain tumours and their families. These services are aimed at helping to ease the effects of such neurological disorders on children and those who take care of them in the home. Below is a list of those vital supportive services that are provided by the Brainwave Australia;
The Brainwave family events service
These are services provided to families of children suffering from any of the neurological disorders with the aim of helping to give them so time out from the tedious task of having to look after such children in the home. This service consists of a whole variety of activities that are organised periodically for the family members of children with brain tumour problems.
Provision of financial assistance
This is a service which sees to the provision of funds that are needed in purchasing supportive equipments for these children suffering from neurological disorders so that they can also have some amount of independence and ease the effects of their conditions.
Provision of financial assistance for therapies
This involves the provision of funds to those children who are undergoing therapeutic services. It helps the family members to be able to pay for the therapy sessions.
The provision of financial support for families
This is the service which sees to it that families with children suffering from any neurological disorder are provided with financial assistance so that the family can also survive.
