Who we are
The Churches of Christ is an organisation that started in the year 1800. It was formed by the coming together of a number of churches in the United States of America. It was mainly formed to provide supportive service for members in order to ensure that they were able to live a fulfilled life as stated in the Bible.
What are the values of the Churches of Christ Movement?
The organisation cherishes three main things and these are;
- To show love to all people without any conditions
- To always display integrity
- To lead others to the truth through good stewardship
These values are the three main things that the organisation has been using in the performance of all its activities from the time that it was established up to date.
What is the mission of the Churches of Christ in Queensland?
It is to ensure that the life of each and every individual who lives in Queensland is filled with the teachings of Jesus Christ. This will ensure that people live and walk in the path of the teachings of the Holy Bible.
The Churches of Christ in Queensland has been supporting a lot of people through its various branches which are tasked with ensuring that supportive services are rendered to members in the community in order to ensure that they are in the right frame of mind and physical being in order to walk in the path of the Lord.
What are the services provided by the Churches of Christ in Queensland?
The Churches of Christ in Queensland provides the following vital services to the people in the various communities;
Children, Youth and Family Services
This is a service that was previously referred to as “The Churches of Christ Care Pathways”. It is mainly concerned with providing various services that are related to providing better care for children who are realised as living under unfavourable conditions which hamper their development. This service helps to provide such children with the right homes which will allow them to grow up in the light of the Lord.
Early Childhood Services
This is also another essential service of the Churches of Christ in Queensland which sees to it children who are under the ages of 16 are provided with the necessary and appropriate support and care services that will help them to grow up into responsible adults. This service entails two main ways of execution and they are;
The Home-based services deal with the provision of care for children within their respective homes.
And
The Centre-based services also deal with the provision of care for children at the various facilities that have been put in place by the Churches of Christ in Queensland.
Housing services
The Churches of Christ in Queensland also provides a number of accommodation facilities for people who are financially not very sound. These people are treated with all forms of discriminations when they decide to go in search of an accommodation themselves from individual house owners. This is something which spurred the organisation on to build a number of well furnished houses which were then rented to such people at a very affordable price when compared to what they would have been asked to pay elsewhere. Each of these accommodation facilities are situated in communities that help to promote the proper development and involvement of the individual in the community that he or she lives.
Home Care services
This includes the provision of essential supportive services to people who are old but decide to live on their own without moving into any of the Centres that are known to care for such old people. The organisation sees to it that all the needs of these people are adequately met in order to make their lives as lively and simple as possible.
Retirement Villages Program
This is a program of the Churches of Christ which sees to it that those who are very old and no longer wish to live on their own are provided with accommodation and essential general supportive care services that help to enhance the lives of these old people. The accommodation facilities that are provided also boasts of being the best when it comes to availability of basic social amenities and other community needs like medical centres.

To become a volunteer
The organisation allows for people to volunteer and undertake to perform and a number of services that are available. Each and every volunteer is given the chance to make a decision as to which service area he or she can best serve.

This is the avenue that allows people to make various contributions in cash to support the services that the organisation provides for community members.
