Who we are
The Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia is a charity organisation mainly established to help provide support for each and every individual who has cystic fibrosis and is living in the western part of Australia. It has since then been rendering vital services to such people and has also seen to it that various researches are carried out into the causes and how best to possibly treat it permanently in order to allow the individual who has been affected to also have the chance to live a very normal and satisfying life.

This is an organisation that does not seek to make any profit from the services that we do offer people with cystic fibrosis in Western Australia and as such the organisation is mainly funded by the general public through a number of ways. These ways have been put down by the organisation in order to allow the general public, both the individuals and businesses within the community, to also put in some effort so as to help us help patients of cystic fibrosis. The ways include the following;
Make a donation
This is the giving of a material or monetary gift to the organisation so as to support the services that it renders to the patients. There are also a number of ways through which a donation can also be made and these include;
- On a weekly basis
- On a fortnightly basis
- On a monthly basis
- On a quarterly basis
- On a yearly basis or
- A one-time donation
All these ways allows the general public to make donations of all kinds to the organisation in order that it will be in a better position to carry out the necessary activities that it has been performing for people with cystic fibrosis.
Fundraise for the organisation
This also goes for those community members who are willing to put in place various events and activities with the general aim of helping to realize the much needed financial and material resources for the organisation. Such events are always carried out after permission has been sought from the organisation in order for such activities to be undertaken on behalf of the organisation.
Participate in events organised by the Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia
This is also another way through which the general public are given the chance to support the organisation in raising funds for the provision of better services to patients of cystic fibrosis. All that the general public have to do under this channel is to take active part in any of the events that are organised throughout the year by buying tickets to those programmes and doing other things which all help to give financial support to the organisation. This is for those businesses who wish to help with the noble cause of the organisation and therefore agree to provide financial, material and human resources to help the organisation achieve its goals of helping people with cystic fibrosis.
How the funds realized are used
The funds that are realized from the various avenues are used in the following ways;
- The provision of supportive services for adults with cystic fibrosis
- The provision of essential equipments
- The provision of HiTH services (Hospital in the Home)
- Advocating for better treatments for people with cystic fibrosis
- Provision of counselling services
- Provision of educational services
- The provision of a library that is well stocked
This and other very important services are the main services that the funds are used in providing for patients of cystic fibrosis.
