Formed to ensure that children who had been diagnosed with any type of cancer and their families are provided with the support services that they need.

Who we are

My Room – Children’s Cancer Centre is a not for profit charity organisation that was established in the year 1993. It was formed to ensure that children who had been diagnosed with any type of cancer and their families are provided with all the support services that they will need in order to live to realise their potentials in life. The Centre has since then never deviated from its promise to the numerous Victorian children suffering from cancer and their families.

Our vision

It is the vision of the Centre to see to it that children suffering from cancer and their families are given the support that will help them realise their dreams and potentials in life.

Our mission

It is the mission of the Centre to ensure the provision of funding for researches into the causes and most importantly, permanent treatments for cancer and to also provide assistance to those affected families.

What are the services provided by My Room – Children’s Cancer Centre?

The Centre provides a number of essential services to children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their respective families living in the community and some of these services include;

The provision of funds for research

This is a service which the Centre has been rendering since its inception in the year 1993. It has been providing financial assistance to various institutions to help the undertake researches that are aimed at finding lasting treatment solutions to individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer and are living in the communities. Huge sums of money have been pumped into this area by the Centre already and it continues to provide such financial support for each institution that seeks to research into looking for treatments for cancer.

The provision of other supportive services to cancer patients and their families

This service comprises of all the other essential services that are rendered by the Centre to each and every individual who has cancer and his or her family. It includes supportive services like counselling, respite and accommodation for such people in the community.
