The New South Wales Police Legacy is a charity organisation that was established to first to cater for the needs of any personnel who ends up losing a family member but recently the organisation has added the service of helping to provide for the needs of those who encounter trying periods in their life.

The vision is to help create an organisation that is strong enough to provide for the needs of its members who lose a family member or go through any difficult periods in their lives.

The mission of the New South Wales Police Legacy is to make sure that each and every personnel gets provided with all the supportive services that they need in order to live happily and realise the full capabilities.

What are the ways through which you can also support the New South Wales Police Legacy?
The New South Wales Police Legacy has a variety of ways through which the public can also support its activities and these ways include the following;
Donations
This way allows the general public to give to the organisation on the terms that those people want. It can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or a once-off basis.
Fundraising
This is a way which allows people to organise fundraising events with the singular aim of helping to raise financial support for the New South Wales Police Legacy. Such events are organised by those who seek for permission from the organisation without any kind of help from the New South Wales Police Legacy.
Bequests
This way is for those who wish to leave part or whole of their properties to the organisation. Such people can include the name of the New South Wales Police Legacy in the list of beneficiaries. When the time comes for the will to be read, that which was willed to the organisation is given to it.
In memoriam
This is a way which is provided to those who have lost a loved one and wish to remember them. Such memorial services can be done by making donations to the New South Wales Police Legacy.
Become a member
The organisation also allows new police personnel to become full time members of the Organisation. Members are entitled to all the benefits of the organisation and are also expected to pay monthly membership dues.
Those who have also gone on retirement can also make donations to the organisation through their pension pay.
What services does the New South Wales Police Legacy provide?
The organisation provides a number of services which includes;
- The provision of grants which are to help provide better educational services for kids of members of the organisation
- The organisation of periodic events which are aimed at bringing members together
- The organisation of the annual Kokoda Trek for those aged between 18 years to 25 years
- The organising of holiday camps for those older than 50 years
