Act for Kids’ Platinum Class Lottery is one of the major fundraising activities of Act for Kids – an Australian charity providing free professional therapy and support services to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.
Child abuse and neglect is one of the biggest and most misunderstood social problems in Australia. Despite being under-reported, Australian authorities confirmed 40,571 children were neglected or abused in one year alone*. That’s almost one child every 13 minutes suffering from neglect or physical, sexual or emotional abuse, most often in their own home.
For over 26 years now, Act for Kids has come to the aid of thousands of children and families, who have experienced, or are at the risk of, child abuse and neglect. Act for Kids work to keep kids safe by; providing information, support and counselling to help parents care for their children; help families develop new ways to cope in times of stress; support and counsel children who have experienced trauma from abuse or neglect.
You can show your support for the prevention of child abuse and neglect by purchasing tickets in the Platinum Class Lottery. All proceeds help Act for Kids continue to provide the much needed free care and treatment for neglected as well as abused kids. The lottery is held six times annually with each ticket starting at $50. There are a maximum of 9,000 tickets only for each draw, meaning there is an impressive probability of 1:9,000 of winning the first prize.
Not only are the odds extremely appealing, the first prize of the Act for Kids Platinum Class Lottery is a brand new Mercedes-Benz.
