The latest draw from Mater could have you living in a luxurious Gold Coast apartment and funding your new lifestyle by renting out a second home in the same building. That’s a new home for you, plus a great second income. The two apartments are both located in the Coast Broadwater complex in Labrador, just ten minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise. Both homes have two bedrooms, views of the beach, and access to on site resort-style amenities.

If you’re looking for a coastal getaway and like the idea of earning over $30,000 a year in rental income, you need to check out Mater draw 284. Harley Park and the beach are right in your front yard and you’ll be looking out over Wave Break Island. To sweeten the pot, Mater is also throwing in another $50,000 in cash and gold bullion along with $10,000 to pay for your first year of council rates and body corporate fees.

This is your chance to claim your own patch of the Gold Coast or retire early in a beachfront retreat with money coming in every month from your second property. Get your tickets now if living the good life in Labrador sounds like something you could get into.

Living on the Gold Coast

The two apartments to be won in draw 284 are located across from the beach in Labrador, a Gold Coast suburb with just over 15,000 residents. The community looks over the Gold Coast Broadwater and is just to the north of Southport. A good way to get to know the neighbourhood is to take the Labrador Heritage Walk, a self-guided tour of the area’s historical points of interest. Those include the Grand Hotel, Harley Park, and the 19th century Labrador Hotel along with several important Aboriginal cultural sites.

People have been holidaying in Labrador since the first hotel was built in 1884, enjoying its calm waters, verdant parks and picturesque views of South Stradbroke Island. Over the years, it’s become a destination for fine dining with multiple bistros, international restaurants and terrific seafood within minutes of your new front lobby. If you’re living at the Coast Broadwater, you’ll be within walking distance of some of the best cuisine and nightlife the region has to offer.

Just a little further from home, you’ll be able to enjoy all the attractions and entertainment venues that draw so many visitors to the Gold Coast every year. Choose from any number of world-class golf courses, take the kids in your life to the amusement parks, and find your favourite bit of sand to enjoy the sun, surf and endless watersports. Whether you want to hike in the hinterland or wander through the shops, you’ll be able to do it all from your new home in Labrador.

If you’re wondering how you’ll fund all those adventures, don’t forget that this prize package comes with an additional $50,000 in cash and gold bullion. And that’s not to mention a steady income from your SECOND apartment just a few flights up (or down) from whichever you choose as your new beachfront residence.

The Two Luxurious Apartments

The first home in draw 284 (apartment 1103) is on the penultimate floor of the Coast Broadwater. It’s a corner apartment that gives you unimpeded views of South Stradbroke Island, the Spit, Wave Break Island and the Gold Coast Broadwater. The L-shaped floor plan provides an expansive living area that opens onto the ocean-facing alfresco balcony. The lounge is surrounded by floor to ceiling glazing, with relaxed furnishings and a huge wall-mounted entertainment system. The alfresco comfortably sits six for dinner and features a gas BBQ. There’s also an indoor dining area across from the sleek gourmet kitchen with its gleaming white cupboards and long breakfast bar. A cozy office is tucked away on the far side of the kitchen if you need a quiet place to work and has its own balcony.

The master suite is beautifully appointed with a large walk-in robe and full bathroom that includes a deep soaking tub. The second bedroom is also spacious and accesses a second bathroom. There’s a laundry near the entryway and you’ll be provided with secure parking for two vehicles. This is the larger of the two homes and also the one that’s worth considerably more due to its layout and higher positioning.

The beautiful bathroom is like the ones done by one of the Gold Coasts leading plumbers and comes completely kitted out with state of the art technology.

The second home (apartment 204) is also a corner apartment but the balcony faces directly onto the beach and Broadwater. The rectangular floor plan provides for an integrated main living area which combines a comfy lounge with an indoor dining room and contemporary kitchen. The alfresco balcony seats four and also comes with a BBQ. The master suite and second bedroom feature navy blue highlights against a clean white décor with plenty of rattan and timbered accent pieces.

Both apartments have access to the complex’s beautiful salt-water pool and sunbathing deck, gym facilities, resident lounge and social area. You’ll even be able to provide your guests with visitor parking and are sure to appreciate the lovely landscaped grounds.
