The coast of northern Queensland is a tropical oasis and with tickets in the latest draw from Surf Life Saving, you could soon be calling it home. The $1.2 million first prize package features a stunning four-bedroom residence in Palm Cove, just north of Cairns. It’s everything you could want in a modern, stylish and fully equipped retreat, with expansive living areas and a terrific lap pool in the back yard. You’ll be minutes from the beach and within easy driving distance of the shops, restaurants, nightlife and attractions of Cairns.

You might even be looking for excuses to pop into town because the grand prize also includes a new Range Rover Velar, one of the most luxurious SUVs on the market. Add in another $10,000 in gold bullion and you’ve got a draw that’s too good to miss. If you can see yourself enjoying an endless summer on the Cairns Coast, you’ll want to get your tickets in draw 194 before they’re all gone!

The Beauty of the Cairns Coast

Palm Cove is located just under thirty kilometres from the center of Cairns on a long stretch of sand lined with palm trees. Arlington Reef is about thirty kilometres offshore and shelters the coast to provide calm, clear waters along the beach. The tiny village has just over 2,000 residents, and the prize home is located in the exclusive Iluka villa estate.

A thirty-minute drive to the south through the communities of Clifton Beach and Smithfield will bring you to Cairns. This continues to be one of Australia’s most visited tourist destinations and you’ll be able to enjoy world-class attractions like the botanical gardens and aquarium or take a jaunt on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Of course, if you want to visit the reef you can go any day and won’t be limited by time. Palm Cove also sits on the verge of the Kuranda State Forest, so you won’t have to go far to get into the Daintree.

If you like to fish, there’s a jetty at Palm Cove Beach and the netted waters are patrolled for safe access to the sea all year long. If golfing is more your thing, there are half a dozen courses near your new home including the Novotel Palm Cove Golf Course just minutes away. There’s also a shopping center in neighbouring Clifton Beach, various water sports all along the coast, and a cable water skiing park next to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. No matter how you like to spend your free time, you’ll find something to entertain, amaze and captivate you on the Cairns Coast.

And the best part is that once you arrive, you’ll be home.

Your Home in Palm Cove

The prize home is located on the Village Way in the newly developed Iluka estate. That gives you just a short walk to the beach and multiple community parks. The modern styling features a slate blue and white façade framed by your own iconic palm tree. The front-facing two car garage has plenty of room for your new Range Rover and an exterior parking deck.

The entryway leads past a guest bedroom and cozy lounge into the main open-plan living area. The kitchen and dining area feature light timber accents and plenty of rattan to create a cool, breezy ambiance. The living room has a large wall-mounted television and crisp white furnishings accented with tropical blues. The more intimate lounge opposite the guest suite has a small outside patio and there’s another huge flat screen in the upstairs media room.

On the second level, the master bedroom at the rear of the home has a large ensuite and walk-in robe. A spacious bedroom at the front has a small balcony and shares a bathroom with the third bedroom at level. Below, the main guest room has a convenient WC and plenty of privacy.

Living in Palm Cove, you’re going to want to spend a good deal of time catching the ocean breeze and this home has a very nice outdoor living area. The alfresco patio extends from the main living room and can comfortably seat eight guests. There’s also room to relax on a comfy couch in this shaded and beautifully tiled outdoor lounge. The lap pool beyond will give you years of enjoyment and has a stylish pebbled surround. In the far corner, a shaded pavilion provides another place to relax out of doors and enjoy the near perfect weather of Queensland’s northern coast.

The new vehicle you’ll find parked in front of the garage is a black Range Rover Velar with ebony trim, the convenience pack and driver assist. It’s worth almost $130K and comes packed with all the latest technology, safety features, and on road costs in your current state of residence. Off road or on, you’ll be touring the coast in absolute luxury and comfort.
